PMD EXPANDS ITS NATIONWIDE MOBILE DIAGNOSTIC
TESTING
WITH THE ADDITION OF DOPPLER SERVICES

Doppler Start Date Slated for Next Month--
Atlanta,
GA; June 21, 2005: Proactive Medical Diagnostics,
Inc. (PMD) announces it will be adding Doppler
Services to its existing testing program
beginning on July 18th. PMD will include
Echocardiograms, one form of a Doppler test,
which use sound waves to create moving pictures
of the heart. An echocardiogram generally
is used to evaluate heart wall thickness
and motion, as well as the structure and
function of the heart valves. Echocardiography
can also be used to estimate the amount
of blood pumped out of your left ventricle
with each heartbeat (ejection fraction).
*Note
to Physicians: These services will be provided
on a separate date of service from NCV/EMG
and Spinal Ultrasounds. A full echo study
will take approximately 30 minutes whereas
a stress echo will take approximately 45
minutes.
Reimbursable
codes for Doppler Services will be as follows:

93880 - Duplex scan of extracranial
arteries: complete bilateral study (Carotid)
•
93925 - Duplex scan of lower extremity
arteries or arterial bypass grafts: complete
bilateral study
•
93970 - Duplex scan of extremity veins
including responses to compression and other
maneuvers; complete bilateral study
•
93978 - Duplex scan of aorta, inferior
vena cava, iliac vasculature, or bypass
grafts, complete study
•
93307 - Echocardiography, transthoracic,
real time with image documentation (2D)
with or without M-mode recording; complete
•
93320 - Doppler echocardiology, pulsed
wave and/or continuous wave with spectral
display; complete
•
93325 - Doppler echocardiography color
flow velocity mapping
